Last week I had the chance to sit down with Jason Lezak and talk to him more about how he uses our training products to improve how he trains and improve his swimming performance. It was really interesting to hear how Jason uses FINIS products in his daily routines. Training equipment helps Jason target specific parts of my his swimming technique throughout his workout improving his entire training experience. Jason’s favorite training tools make Jason’s workouts more interesting and productive every time he gets in the water to train. Check out a sampling of Jason’s favorites below or view the entire list here.
The List

Swimmer’s Snorkel
JASON: “I use the snorkel for swimming sets to work on my body and head position as well as kicking with a board to aid in body position.”
Tempo Trainer
JASON: “I use the Tempo Trainer for practicing my racing stroke rate as well as pacing myself per lap. On lap pacing I set the Tempo Trainer to beep midway through the lap and at the end of each lap which makes it easier for me to keep the desired pace.”
Swim Parachute
JASON: “I use the Swim Parachute to work on my endurance power. I will often swim longer swims at moderate pace rotating between using fists and regular stroke.”

Why does Jason use the regular snorkel and not the freestyle snorkel?
Jason’s personal preference has been the Swimmer’s snorkel because of the way it fits on his head. It just felt more natural for him. Each swimmer should try the Swimmer’s snorkel when first learning to use a center mount snorkel. For an additional challenge try the freestyle snorkel. Many swimmers prefer the Freestyle snorkel for use during freestyle, but some still prefer the Swimmer’s snorkel because it feels more comfortable for them.
